NEET Examination 2021 – Important Dates
As of now the schedule for NEET examination 2021 has not been released by NTA. As per the tentative schedule, the examination is expected to be conducted in the month of May 2021. NEET Examination 2021 Eligibility Criteria
A candidate can apply for the NEET examination 2021 only if he/she is eligible for the examination as per the requirements of the organizing body. The laid down eligibility criteria for NEET 2021 must be known to every candidate willing to apply for the examination. Only those candidates who fulfill the criteria can take the examination. The online application process for NEET examination 2021 is to be availed online on the official website of NTA only. Every candidate willing to apply for the examination must check the eligibility before starting the application process. NEET Examination 2021 – Admit Card
An Admit card will be generated soon after the submission of the application form for registered candidates on the official website only. It must be further noted that no candidate will be provided NEET admit card through post in offline mode under any circumstances. To download the admit card for NEET candidates need to visit the official website that is neet.nic.in.
One can download the admit card by entering their login credential that is application number and password or date of birth. Make sure to get a printed copy of this admit card to be carried to the examination center without which they will not be allowed to take the examination. Candidates will have to accompany the NEET admit card along with a valid photo ID proof.
NEET Examination 2021 Exam Centers
The National Testing Agency has issued a list of exam cities for conducting NEET 2021. Different exam centers are allotted within 155 exam cities released in the official information brochure. NEET Examination 2021 Exam Day Guidelines

NEET Examination 2021 – Marking Scheme
The National Testing Agency uses a particular scheme for marking in the NEET Examiantion. The marking scheme of NEET includes marks for every correct response, marks for incorrect responses, marks in case NTA finds a question incorrect or no options as correct for a particular question, and more. NEET Examination 2021 – Preparation Tips

NEET Examination 2021 – Mock Test

The National Testing Agency provides mock tests for all the three sections of NEET over the official website, that is nta.ac.in. In order to take the mock test, every candidate is required to register from the website itself. Once the registration of the NEET mock test is completed, candidates can practice the same. NEET Examination 2021 – Answer Key & Response Sheet
An unofficial answer key is released by many coaching institutes of NEET soon after the examination is over. These answer keys are memory-based which is as per the reports of students who have taken the test. Candidates can take help from these answer keys to know the probable answers for the particular question. However, these memory-based answer keys will not be used for the calculation of scores of NEET 2021.
The official answer key for NEET is released by the National Testing Agency, candidates are allowed to raise objections against these answer keys. Candidates can pay ₹ 1000 for every objection raised by them. If these objections turn out to be genuine, NTA will release a final answer key by making relevant changes in the answer key.

NEET Examination 2021 – Cutoff
The National Testing Agency has set minimum marks required to qualify for the NEET 2021. Marks required for qualifying for the NTA NEET 2021 is known as the cutoff marks. NTA has specified the cutoff for each category, candidates scoring equal to or greater score will be included in the merit list. NEET Examination 2021 – Result & Merit List
National Testing Agency will release the NEET result over the official website (ntaneet.nic.in). Candidates who have taken the NEET 2021 will be able to check their NEET result by using the login credentials including the application number and password or date of birth. NEET result is released within two merit lists that are, All India merit lists and state-wise merit list. However, before the release of the merit list, the result released consists of scores of the candidate and the ranks allotted to them.

National Testing Agency allots the merit position to the qualified candidates of NTA NEET. The merit position of NTA NEET for two different candidates may lie at the same position, in order to resolve the tie the following chronology is used by NTA.
- Candidates having a greater score in Biology will be allotted a better rank position in the merit list of NTA NEET
- If the candidates land at a position of tie, a greater score in chemistry will be preferred for the rank allotment
- Candidates with a less proportion of correct – incorrect responses are preferred if the above-mentioned steps do not resolve the situation of the tie
- If none of the above-mentioned steps resolves the tie, a greater rank position is allotted to a candidate who is older in age
NEET Examination 2021 – Reservation Criteria
The National Testing Agency has set some criteria for providing reservation to the candidates belonging to certain categories. Candidates with specific categories have the reservation of seats due to laws prevailing for the respective categories. NEET Examination 2021 – Counselling
Qualified candidates are eligible for the counseling process. All the candidates whose names are included in the merit list can participate in the counseling to be conducted by MCI. Similar to the merit list, counseling for NEET is also conducted in types as mentioned below.
- All India counseling for NEET is held for 15% of the seats in the government colleges of the country along with prescribed quota under the Central Universities and 100% of seats in the deemed universities.
- NEET counseling 2021 is also conducted state wise for the 85% of the remaining seats in the government colleges along with 100% of the seats in private colleges.
Medical Council of India is responsible for conducting the counseling for the 15% seats available for the All India Quota. Candidates are required to register for the counseling and pay the counseling fee prescribed by the National Testing Agency. For the state-wise counseling, that is for 85% seats, candidates will have to fill a separate application form released separately for all the states after the release of the NEET result.
NEET Examination 2021 – Participating Institutes
All the medical colleges in all around India accept NEET scores for providing MBBS admission. As per the judgment by the supreme court, all the colleges in India offering medical admissions are required to accept the NEET scores for granting admission. Earlier, AIIMS and JIPMER conducted their own entrance test for admission, however, from the year 2020 onwards, AIIMS and JIPMER will also consider the NEET scores for granting admission.
